All Of Metro Louisville Now Under A Warning

The NWS has issued a Severe T-Storm Warning for Jefferson county in KY and Clark / Floyd counties in IN until 4:20 PM EDT. This puts most of the metro in a warning now. This storm is moving  southeast at 25 mph. It has the potential to produce small hailand wind gusts to 60 mph. In addition, frequent lightning and locally heavy downpours will accompany this storm. Please use caution around this storm.

 

 

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... JEFFERSON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY... THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE... SOUTHERN CLARK COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA... EASTERN FLOYD COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA...

* UNTIL 420 PM EDT

* AT 346 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR NEW ALBANY...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL ALSO IMPACT... ST. MATTHEWS... LYNDON... JEFFERSONTOWN... FERN CREEK... ANCHORAGE... CLARKSVILLE AND WATSON... OAK PARK AND UTICA... LOUISVILLE BOWMAN FIELD...

 

 

The Severe T-Storm Watch remains in effect for the western part of our area until 11 pm.
