Severe threat continues some. More showers for others.
A Tornado Watch continues across our southeastern counties until 11 pm ET.
Although there are no warnings in effect, we continue to monitor an area of active thunderstorm acitivity across portions of Washington, Marion, Taylor and Adair Counties.
Earlier, these storms were showing signs of rotation. That threat seems to have diminished some at this time.
In Louisville, fortunately, the heavier, steadier rains from earlier today departed just in time for the big game this afternoon.
Currently, most of the metro area is dry with the larger area of rain to our east and a few scattered showers to the west. The chance for some scattered showers will remain with us through this evening.
These showers are developing just ahead of the pesky tropical low that has been bringing us all the wet weather the past couple of days.
This low will continue to influence our weather through Labor Day.
