TODAY'S BLOG: **I Will Be Wearing A Vest On Friday**

From Jude Redfield...

This blog is about the risk for severe storms on our Friday. **I do see potential issues for some high school football games tomorrow night** Most of the daytime hours look to be dry tomorrow other than some pop ups ahead of a developing line.  This line of storms will be tapping into some intense upper level winds meaning a pretty good risk at severe storms tomorrow.  This line will be moving around 50 mph once it fully forms. I would pay very close attention to the forecast if you are going to be at any area high school football game tomorrow night. All of Kentuckiana is under a risk for severe storms. The final map is one I put together to show where I personally think the highest chance for severe storms will end up. Much of our region is in the red as you will see on the final map below.  The red shaded areas is where I think the majority of the warnings and possible severe storms will end up.  Due to the high winds aloft the primary threat will be damaging straight line wind that could top 65 mph in any severe storms that develops.  If you follow me then you know when we have the chance for significant weather I often wear a vest to work. Some might think it is goofy, but the reason I do it is simple.  This makes it easy for you to know it isn't just an average weather day. I can tell you it is a given you will see me in the vest on WDRB in the Morning tomorrow. **I will have more updates on my facebook page as this situation develops** http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Jude-Redfield/205025729516267
