TODAY'S BLOG: Stormy Action To End The Week
From Jude Redfield...
The first cold front moving by tomorrow evening doesn't do much. We should get to around 80 ahead of it and Thursday's weather looks GREAT! The next cold front approaching Friday is strong and has plenty of energy with it. Yesterday I mentioned that if we get some storms with this front they could be quite gusty. The jetstream energy is intense from the low levels to the higher levels. This will be good enough to spark scattered showers. The dry air currently in place will be tough to break, but I think dew pts could approach the mid 50s allowing just enough juice that if we get storms to fire a few could be severe in the Ohio Valley including Kentuckiana. This cold front and developing storm moving out of Canada has so much energy with it I think it needs to be watched for the POTENTIAL of a severe storm or two. The models are having a difficult time with the exact formation of the low pressure, but we do have potential and with the timing looking to possibly impact some high school football games with rain and gusty winds this is something we are going to keep our eyes on. **Follow me on facebook for the latest on this develop storm sytem** http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Jude-Redfield/205025729516267
