A south wind brings warmer temps and maybe strong storms!

After a cloudy and damp start across the area, the sky has cleared and we are looking at some nice conditions this afternoon.  Currently, temps are in the lower 60's in Louisville with sunshine.

It looks like we'll top out in the middle 60's for the metro this afternoon.

High pressure will build into the area tonight with light winds and a clear sky allowing temps to drop well down into the 40's.  A cool and crisp night!

However, as the high pressure system slides to the east, we'll see a south breeze develop tomorrow helping to warm temperatures significantly over what we've been experiencing lately.
In fact, highs could flirt with 80° in Louisville.  Most of the area will reach the mid to upper 70's with a fair amount of sunshine.  Enjoy!

At temps2

The south breeze will continue to increase into Sunday and as a potent cold front approaches, strong thunderstorms look to become possible during the afternoon hours.

The consensus amoungst the weather models is to bring scattered storms through our area between 2 and 6 PM on Sunday.

In addition, the upper level winds will be supportive of strong storms.
