Finally, the return of sunshine... but don't get used to it!

After better than two straight days of cloudy and damp conditions, it was great to see the return of sunshine today!  Right now, we have a sunny sky in Louisville with a temperature of 69°.

The pesky area of low pressure that brought us all the unsettled to start the work week has finally departed off to our north and is providing plenty of cloud across the Great Lakes.

In addition to bringing us some drier air, the south wind will also help to warm our temperatures well up into the 70's this afternoon.

It get's even warmer tomorrow where temps look to crack the 80° mark!

And then it's all down hill from there... A strong cold front is developing across the Northern Plains and is bringing snow to parts of the Rocky Mountains.

Behind this front, air temperatures are stuck in the 30's across much of Southern Canada.

We'll see a surge of this cold air arrive here over the weekend and will, unfortunately, be accompanied by some pretty healthy rain chances.

For more on that be sure to join Marc with a full update starting starting later today at 4 on WDRB News.
