Frost Advisory Tonight
A Frost Advisory is in effect for tonight/early tomorrow morning for much of the area. The exception are our southern counties. There, clouds are expected to move in overnight, resulting in slightly warmer temperatures than to the north. Also, a Freeze Warning has been issued for Lawrence, Jackson and Jennings counties.
Per the National Weather Service:
...FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM EDT /1 AM CDT/ TO
8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ MONDAY...
* TEMPERATURES...TEMPERATURES WILL FALL INTO THE LOWER TO MID
30S EARLY MONDAY MORNING.
* IMPACTS...THE FROST COULD KILL SENSITIVE OUTDOOR PLANTS AND
OTHER VEGETATION.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A FROST ADVISORY MEANS THAT FROST IS POSSIBLE. SENSITIVE OUTDOOR
PLANTS MAY BE KILLED IF LEFT UNCOVERED
Satellite shows that an area of clouds is moving in from the west. This is what will shield southern Kentucky from the frost.
Across the Louisville area, the clouds are not expected to be quite as thick as last night, so we are in danger of a frost. The best chance for a frost is across southern and central Indiana.
