Rain Widespread This Afternoon ... Update Through Evening Hours!
We have a lot of rain moving across the area this afternoon as expected. If you are heading to the U of L vs. Cincinnati game this afternoon, then I am sure you are very curious how to dress. First off the powerful cold front is through much of our area. Notice the regional temperatures showing the monster drop in Louisville!
The rain is fairly widespread from Carrollton, KY through Shelbyville, KY through Munfordville, KY and points north and west.
Pockets of moderate rain continue to move along and east of Madison, IN.
The east end of Louisville is seeing steady and moderate rain. That includes Fisherville through around Anchorage in Louisville.
Moderate rain extends from E-town to Leitchfield, KY along State Highway 62.
This cold front is so strong that it is snowing in Oklahoma!!! Snow in Oklahoma before Kentucky and Indiana???
Taking you through the evening shows a clear sign for waves of rain continuing. AdvanceTrak shows a very good forecast through the evening with the waves I mentioned above. Keep in mind that the timestamp is on the top right part of each image.
My Thoughts For The Rest Of The Day Including The Game
Cold and rainy describes today. You need to dress for a winter like evening if you are heading to the U of L game. The wind will be out of the north and gusting to 20 mph at times with waves of rain moving through during the gametime. Rain gear and dressing in layers will be very important at the game tonight.

Hey, Marc...we have state finals band competition in Bowling Green tomorrow, 3:15 EST and going thru midnight. Know that is further South than Louisville but trust your forecast more than any others--predictions for rain/temps there for tomorrow? Thanks! (& Go Band of Hawks from LaRue County! :) )

Alana, it is going to be just like here. Mostly cloudy, with highs in the upper 50s, and breezy conditions. Good luck! :)

"Boo" on breezy conditions (wreak havoc on props!) but "yay" on no rain! Still low in mid-30s for late Sat night/early Sun morning?
