Severe Risk For Parts Of Our Area Today???

Yesterday SPC placed our northeast counties in a slight risk of severe weather. While I couldn't fault them for the slight risk, I felt it would be better to place it in Ohio if they were to keep the borderline slight risk. Let's see if they kept the slight risk in our area for today.

SPC Severe Weather Risk Today/Tonight

As you look through SPC's risk, you can see it appears they agree that location needed to be more of Ohio than anywhere else and they have removed the slight risk.

Notice the slight risk has been dropped and the general t-storm chance has now been moved out of our area.

My Thoughts

To be honest, this is the correct move by SPC. The window for a strong storm in our area closed at 2 pm and it was minute at best. The risk belongs further east and I agree with their placement now. Generally we are looking at a mostly cloudy afternoon with a few stray showers.
