Severe Weather Possible This Weekend! A Look At The Threat...
The last 2 days I have talked about two important things for Sunday. First, I said the storm would be slower than the computer models thought and that would allow for a severe weather risk, and second SPC should have placed us under a slight risk of severe weather. Today, both points we talked about have happened. In this blog, I want to discuss the SPC severe weather threat for Sunday.
Storm Prediction Center Severe Weather Threat Sunday
I was kind of surprised SPC did not have our area in a slight risk during their outlooks they posted yesterday. I felt our area needed to be in the slight risk and today they made the adjustment.
SPC Categorical Severe Weather Risk On Sunday
Notice SPC has placed our entire area in the slight risk of severe weather on Sunday.
SPC Probabilistic Severe Weather Risk On Sunday
Notice SPC has our entire area in the 15% chance of severe weather.
I am glad SPC has now placed in a slight risk because I felt it was necessary for Sunday. It appears to me that the greatest threat of severe weather will be south of the river, but I still believe the entire area should be in the risk at this point. I will have a full blog later today and a complete update on WDRB News at 4 PM.
