TODAY'S BLOG: Rain & Cold, Then We Watch Sandy

From Jude Redfield...

For the rest of the afternoon plan on pretty much a washout. Scattered showers are likely on and off tonight with temps in the 40s. The conditions will not be great, but a win sure will help.

We still have many questions about Sandy.  What we know  1.  Sandy is a monster  2. Sandy will most likely directly impact the east coast   3.  We will NOT have a direct impact in Kentuckiana.  4.  We will have Very Cold temps in Kentuckiana.

What we need to answer for our forecast.  1. How far west does Sandy move next week.  2.  Will it get close enough to bring us any rain or snow.

At this point our chance for precip is VERY VERY VERY low.  It will be difficult to get anything significant around here.  The last map indicates where snow could be possible according to a couple weather models.  Some light snow would approach the Ohio Valley, but the real story will be in the higher elevations well to our east.  The bottom line...This is something to watch and discuss during the weekend and finally come up with a end result.  More blogs will be posted this weekend and you can follow me on facebook for more updates each day.  http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Jude-Redfield/205025729516267?fref=ts
