Updating Evening Rain Timeline & Temperature Fall
The strong cold front is now marching across our area. Temperatures have fallen about 10 degrees over the the northwest part of our area over the last hour and wind chill values are in the low 40s already in Indianapolis, IN. Notice the sharp temperature contrast over our area!
There is widespread rain and t-storms now moving through Bedford, IN to Jasper, IN. This means it is not going to be a nice evening at all.
AdvanceTrak continues to show scattered showers in the metro before about 6:30 pm and steady / heavy rain in the metro from 7 - 11 pm. Keep in mind, the timestamp is on the top right part of each image.
My Thoughts For Your Evening Plans
Simply put, you will deal with rain during the evening almost anywhere north and west of Munfordville, KY. If you are planning to head out to Friday night football games you need to be ready for potential heavy rain, breezy conditions, and plummeting temperatures. By the end of the games this evening, wind chills will be well into the 40s. I strongly suggest grabbing a good winter coat as you head out to the games because it will become necessary by halftime if not earlier.
Almost all of the data suggest the rain chance is this evening and tonight. Much, if not all of the rain will be over for most of the day on Saturday.
