Moderate Snow Moving Into Our Area Right Now! Check Out Who Has The Heaviest...

We have bands of snow moving into our area. I don't want to say light snow because it will fall fast and hard at times, but I don't expect it to last but a few hours. Since it will come down heavy at times, I encourage you to avoid travel this evening. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 2 AM.

Warnings

We have moderate to heavy snow west of Louisville right now that is moving ESE very quickly. Notice that much of the area is starting to see some action and those that aren't will soon.

There is not much in Louisville now, but that will change by 8 pm.

Snow continues from Bedford, IN and picks up north of Paoli, IN and near Jasper, IN.

The snow is very heavy now in northern Meade, southern Crawford, and western Harrison counties west of Louisville.

Light snow continues from Etown, KY to Munfordville, KY to Greensburg, KY to Campbellsville, KY.

The snow extends west to southern Illinois then it shuts down, so this will be a quick hitting storm.

My Thoughts On Accumulations

Moderate to heavy snow bands will move across the area for the next few hours. This will absolutely cause accumulations for almost the entire area. Most of the area will see near 1" of snow, but there will definitely be isolated totals that reach 2" with the heavier bands. It will get extremely cold tonight, so we will absolutely have slick and snow covered roads in part of the area tomorrow. You need to use caution driving early tomorrow.
