Weekend: Milder Start, Colder Finish

You will notice the winds gaining intensity as the day wears on. We have already seen gusts as high as 21 mph in Louisville, with max winds cranking up to near 35 mph. This may sound bad, but with a southerly component to that wind we will watch the thermometer rise into the mid 50's. Thats what we like to see for the start of the weekend!

Here is the setup...high pressure is cruising off to our southeast making for a sunnny, breezy, and mild day. An arctic front has a huge blast of cold air behind it! That will bring these above average tempeatures down to readings way below average by early next week.

Don't let today go to waste because this will be the last comfortable day we see for the next week.

Looking at the latest models that slight warm up might not happen. It looks to me on and off flurries snow showers and maybe a period or two of snow later in the week.
