Today's Blog: Weekend Rain & Storm Talk
From Jude Redfield...
The cold front remains far enough away on Saturday that we begin the day dry. Not everyone is expected to get wet in the afternoon, but the later we progress into the day the better chance we have at seeing scattered showers and storms pop up. I would plan on a 50% chance Saturday afternoon and nearly a 70% Saturday night. The cold front moves right on top of us Sunday. This provides nearly a 100% chance of seeing rain and storms widespread in the area.
Some of the rain will be locally heavy. Widespread amounts of .50"-.75" will occur. I still think amounts of 1"-2" will be common as well. **In terms of severe weather** our chance remains on the low end, but the wind energy is potent meaning a couple severe storms can't be ruled out. Make sure to check in with Rick and Jeremy all weekend to get the latest radar updates along with the ever changing rain/storm timeline. Have a great weekend -Jude-
