Severe Storm Potential & The Thunder Debacle

From Jude Redfield...

A few downpours and gusty storms roll through this evening.  A couple strong storms are likely, with an isolated severe storm or two possible. The greatest coverage on the radar will be noted from 6pm - 12am.  The entire viewing area isn't expecting rain and storms.  I'd give it a 60% chance that you get wet.

Fast forwarding to Thunder weekend and we still look at a good chance for nasty, cold rain and miserable conditions at times. I tried to find something positive about Saturday and the only thing I can come up with is it isn't going to snow and we don't have severe weather in the outlook.  The rain should be tapering off during the evening, but mist and drizzle looks to be an issue at that time.  Temps most of the day will hold in the 40s.  Can you imagine being on a boat, in the rain, with wind gusts 10-20mph and temps in the 40s? NO THANK YOU! When it comes to the air show don't expect to see any of the good acts. It will take a miracle for that to occur. Rain amounts of 1" - 2" are possible Friday night through Saturday night.  Most of the rain is gone for Sunday with only an isolated shower possible
