Fingers Crossed for a Storm Tomorrow. MAJOR Heat Arrives Later in Week!

Following a superb weekend, the arrival of a weak frontal boundary will bring us a chance for some afternoon showers and storms tomorrow.

Right now, it appears the best chance, although not that great, will be across southern portions of Indiana with only about 30% coverage expected.  Elsewhere, a 20% chance will extend from near the Parkways to the Ohio River.

Rain chances

Let's time it out with AdvanceTrak...

AT starts us out dry and mostly sunny in the morning.

Clouds increase and scattered showers develop during the afternoon. Notice the concentration of showers over Southern Indiana.

With loss of heating, showers quickly fall apart during the evening.

Keep your fingers crossed for a little rain tomorrow, because it's going to be several days before we get another opportunity.

In addition to the dry weather that's coming, we are tracking a WHOLE LOT of heat with heat indices again topping 100 degrees by late week and could approach 105 degrees!

Wheew, hello summer!  It might be wise to plan your yard work early in the week.  These will be the hottest conditions we've seen all year.
