Severe Storms Affecting Our Area With Hail And Damaging Winds

The NWS has issued a Severe T-Storm Warning for Breckinridge county in Kentucky & Perry county in Indiana until 5:20 PM CDT. This storm is moving south at 10 mph. It has the potential to produce quarter sized hail and wind gusts to 60 mph. In addition, frequent lightning and locally heavy downpours will accompany this storm. Please use caution around this storm.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... NORTHWESTERN BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY... NORTHEASTERN HANCOCK COUNTY IN NORTHWEST KENTUCKY... SOUTHERN PERRY COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA...

* UNTIL 520 PM CDT

* AT 433 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR TROY...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH.

* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL ALSO IMPACT... HAWESVILLE... TELL CITY... GATCHEL... LILLY DALE... FENN HAVEN... CANNELTON AND GERALD...

 

The Severe T-Storm Watch remains in effect for the eastern part of our area until 7 pm.
