TODAY'S BLOG: Storms Are Getting Closer

From Jude Redfield...

A t-storm is impacting Lawrence and Jackson county Indiana with heavy rain, but only a couple lightning strikes. A larger cluster sits on the cold front and will rapidly approach Evansville and then move up the Ohio River.  The only real concern today is lightning and blinding downpours with the storms.  The odds we will see severe weather is very very very low.  The afternoon and early evening commute will most likely end up much wetter than this morning. Rain chances spike to near 80% this afternoon. A few areas could end up with over a half inch of rain.  Cooler air arrives tonight as a Pacific airmass intrudes. This air still keeps us above average in the coming days.  **Follow me on facebook & twitter for more weather updates**  https://twitter.com/JudeRedfield   http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jude-Redfield/205025729516267
