Storm Prediction Center Updates Severe Weather Risk For Tonight! Details Inside...

The Storm Prediction Center has made adjustments to their severe weather risk for tonight. I wanted to give you a quick late evening update on their lastest...

Storm Prediction Center Severe Weather Risk Tonight

SPC has dropped the slight risk of severe weather for our area tonight. They are keeping an isolated damaging wind possibility, but that is it.

My Thoughts On Tonight's Severe Weather Risk

The line of t-storms itself is weaking right now to our west, but is still hanging in there. StormView HD shows the t-storms about to move into Jasper, IN but there are fewer and fewer lightning strikes.

As mentioned earlier, the wind energy is weak tonight and the weak instability that was present earlier is disappearing. I cannot rule out a rogue strong storm in our western counties, but it would be the exception rather than the rule.
