U.S. Drought Monitor Update Includes Parts Of Our Area...

The weekly update of the U.S. Drought Monitor can be seen below. Moderate to severe drought is common off to our west. The Ohio Valley is on the outer edge of these dry conditions with just a few exceptions.

A closer look at our area shows chunks of Lawrence and Orange counties are shaded yellow. That puts us in the abnormally dry category. The E.T.A. or estimated time of arrival of our next storm is set for Sunday. That should help alleviate any dry conditions with a good chance for rain.
